LAS Links for reclassification begins on 5/29/2021 and extends through the first 60 school days of the 2021-22 school year as determined by the TEA.

No. Per the TEA, the priority must be to test as many students as possible utilizing the TELPAS onsite prior to May 28, 2021.

Yes, the TEA has approved the use of LAS Links Online remote testing for the purpose of Reclassification. Please visit www.laslinks.com/Texas and the section dedicated to Remote Testing for guidance.

If an English learner is unable to receive a completed score for all four domains of the 2020-2021 TELPAS, the LAS Links assessment, may be administered after the TELPAS testing window to determine that the student has met the level designated for English proficiency for the ELP component of the 2020-2021 EL reclassification criteria.

You may only test students who were unable/unwilling to come to a brick and mortar setting to test with TELPAS before May 28, 2021 and should only be students who the LEA thinks is potentially ready for Reclassification.

Students may be tested on-site or remotely with LAS Links for the purpose of Reclassification.

  • Transfers will be done in the order they were received
  • Transfers will take place after 5/17/2021 once the Reclass accounts are re-activated
  • Please allow 2-3 business days (starting 5/17/2021) for the transfer to take place
  • At the close of the Reclassification window (as determined by the TEA), DRC will transfer any remaining/unused licenses back to your ID (100….) account (no additional transfer form is needed as this will be automatically done for each LEA).

The point of contact DRC has on file (usually the Bilingual/ESL director) was given access to the License Dashboard. They may add the License Dashboard permission to other User profiles as needed. Focus: pre-test, during testing, and post-test activities; will include student registration, test session creation, holistic scoring of items, reporting/score interpretation as well as the remote testing process overview.
